Misplaced Numbers
"If i could only..."
Drawers thumped open, clothes strewed everywhere.
"Fuck where could it be?"
Trash bins overturned, mattresses overturned.
"ARGH!"
Slams his fist on the table and sprawled down on the cold, hard creamic tiled floor.
Resigned to his fate, knowning that he might never meet her again. He knew she was different from the rest, he knew it. He sat up, reminiscing the events which unfolded a couple of days back.
That silky golden brown hair, paired up with those gorgeous brown eyes and perfectly fitted with that killer body walked into the cafe and ordered a cup of americano. Sat down delicately infront of him and smiled sweetly. They started talking to each other, they hit off great. Sharing with each other stories of their lives, they seem to have transformed from strangers to best friends who have known for years.
Mesmerised in their conversation, hours flew by and they suddenly realised it was getting late. He asked for her number, she passed him a note and went home. He drank his last mouthful of latte and got up, gleaming with joy and headed home.
"Would she be at the cafe again?
He bolted out of the house and sprinted to the cafe.
"Please be there...Please be there..."
Memories of meeting her in the cafe replayed in his mind.
"Ringgggg"
The bells of the cafe door rung as he opened the door.
He searched the cafe but he couldnt find her anywhere.
Panting and disappointed, he turn around to go home.
"Just my rotten luck"
A huge sigh erupted from his dejected soul.
"Excuse me"
A familiar sweet and pure voice called out to him
He turned around and alas it was her! There in her sporty attire, her face shone behind the sunset background.
"I think you dropped this" She giggled and passed him the note he was searching for.
He opened up the note and it said " Love, J 555-1266 "
He smiled.
