I'm simply stunned. What on earth is the world coming to?
There are limits to everything
When a foreign scholar who has been bathed and pampered by singapore when he is given 8 freaking years free education when most of us normal Singaporeans have to find alternate means to fund for our educations can say “There are more dogs than humans in Singapore“, this is totally unforgivable.
What is made worse is that even PAP MP for Tampines GRC "defended" him . Which sparked a huge outcry from the local community.
Sun Xu has apologized. Of course he will apologize for the sake of it, for the sake of his puny undeserving scholarship. He is only weeks away from graduation and is afraid that his scholarship will be revoked. He is apologizing for the sake of it. Do you think he would have apologized if he were some S-Chip CEO residing in China and the local authorities cannot do anything about him? Do you think he would have apologized if he had already graduated from NUS and returned to China?
So...the taxpayers are paying these scholars from overseas mostly from _ _ _ _ _.
They dont serve govt bonds which required them to work here for 3 years.
They go back to their country after getting their degree
Even when one of them labelled our country, there are more dogs than humans here
He is still able to retain his scholarship and complete his uni education DESPITE the huge public outcry from not only Singaporeans but people from other country.
Which brings me back to my question. Why the fuck are we paying taxes for these people when we could fund scholarships for Singaporeans instead.
Singapore government spends some $36 million dollars on scholarships to over two thousand foreign students each year, or about S$174,00 per scholar.
Two words.

For the love of humanity and COMMON SENSE. Please, on the behalf of every single human with brains left on planet Earth, expel him.
